“Um…I don’t know. He was cool. We barely talked, so I didn’t really get to know him all that well.”
“That’s…cool I guess. Kinda of weird,” he said, still wondering how that would have even been possible. “Did he seem nice?”
She nods, “Oh hell yes. he was funny too. But he seemed like he was trying to stay polite and regal. Almost like one of those poor guys who never got a proper childhood…” Akiva had been one of her favorite of the angels. He was kind, handsome, and hilarious. She almost missed him.
“Well…I’d assume God would probably not have had much if any childhood. If he created everything else, wouldn’t he have had no parents? I’d almost think he was born an adult.” It was strange talking about this stuff like this, with familiarity and thinking of God as someone you could easily meet.
“Well, he didn’t create everything. I guess he’s more of the ruler of angels than god. like there’s probably a demon ruler and a vampire ruler and such.”
“Oh…well still. It would be weird to have lived that long…”
“Yeah. I can’t even begin to imagine…”
“It would seem like you’d get bored with the world by then…” That would be a definite down side to living forever. Eventually there would be nothing left to think of as interesting.
